So I woke up with a headache Tuesday. I 'm pretty sure it was travel related. I often get a headache within a day or two of flying. I took 1/2 a Phernegin and an Axert, and slept all day. The sleeping was mostly due to getting in late, but also to the meds and the headache. When I finally woke up, I felt fine.

Yesterday I felt fine all day and had fun zooming around Austin with G and Rich. In the evening I was very tired.

Then this morning at 5 am I woke up with a bad headache. I took 3/4 of a Phernegin and a whole Axert and went back to bed with a cold pack and a hot pack. But this was a really, really bad headache and neither drug nor thermal treatment could slow its progress. By about 6:30 am I was in the bathroom as sick as a dog. Afterward, I took a shower and a whole Phernegin and slept the day away.

Now I'm sleepy, spacey and bummed. Last night I decided that who ever invented migraines should be shot.

For the record, yesterday I had lunch at Bangkok Cuisine and a frozen Amy's Vegetarian Meatloaf with Mushroom Gravy for dinner. I also had a sort of giant glazed donut and some cranberry juice for an afternoon snack.

I'm going to try to remember to use a scale to rate the headaches. So, on a a scale of 0 to 10, with 0 being no headache at all and 10 being an unthinkably bad headache:
Today's headache was an 8.
Tuesday's headache was a 6.

Thanks for the info. I've heard of the shots, but when I have bad headaches getting a ride to the hospital and going through all the paperwork seems impossible. I can barely move.

When I get a migraine that I would rate a nine, I've always passed out and been unwakeable for a few hours.

I saw your canoe the other day. It has rolled itself upright, but it looked fine.

That sounds awful.

Not sure how much research you've done on causes and prevention, but there's a lot of info out there, perhaps some of it will help. Here's one site...

That's a lot of interesting information. Thanks.

I've tried, and am trying, various nutritional variations. None have worked so far. But every now and then I try a new one.

I think the best solution is to cut off my head.

OUCH! PLEASE don't do that. The worst thing that could happen is that you'd cut your head off and it would STILL hurt! Then where would you be??!!

Coffee coffee coffee. Tambourine tambourine tambourine. The inventor of migraines should be shot in ONE SIDE of the head, through the eye, with a javelin, that stays in there for about seven hours. Of course I don't mean it exactly but that's what it feels like to me.

You forgot about putting a big ball of squiggly worms (or maybe a squirming javilina?) in their stomach and then wiggling the javelin.
