[The river is |okay slightly disappointed]

We saw Prince Caspian tonight. Although it has its moments, it is fine but not great. I never got the sense of dreamlife fantasy that I got from Lord Of The Rings. I think the problem is they were shooting for a younger audience and working hard not to offend the defensive-Christians who feel it's Their Story. So they dumbed the story down too much. As a result, it never really drew me in.

But it did make me remember the feel of Aslan's mane against my cheek. And that made going to see the movie totally worthwhile.

Richard said it had my three requirements: galloping horses, swordfights, and great scenery, so we were going to see it today...except he's sick. I haven't been to a movie by myself for a long time and it's hot and muggy...think I'll wait awhile.

What I'm eager to see is whether I recognize the things I saw at Weta Workshop which I signed an agreement to say nothing about until the movie came out.

'Tis Truely An Ill Wind That Blows No Good

We found a discount theater in Round Rock. One night a week they have a special and three people can go for under three dollars. And it's always really cheap.

So if you miss it in the main theaters, you can see it there and you'll have saved some money.
