I was frustrated last night because all the TV shows I wanted to watch were interrupted by weather-folk giving grave warnings about the Very Serious weather Situation we were experiencing. In desperation, after the last trace of lightning had passed, I decided to watch The A-Team, a show I neither like nor hate. Much to my surprise, the episode was a spoof of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. called The Say Uncle Affair. It starred both David McCallum and Robert Vaughn. It was moderately amusing, but it won me over by referencing a show that will forever be near and dear to my heart.

Oh...I wish I'd seen that. I don't watch the Retro channel much but that I would have watched for the fun of it.

And I was a Man from U.N.C.L.E. fan too--and that's why I'm an NCIS fan now.

Life In The Future

If you click on "The Say Uncle Affair" link above, you can watch it on your computer at a time of your choosing. I often watch TV shows online at lunch. I doubt that "scheduled" TV will survive now that most shows are available online for viewing on demand.

I haven't gotten into NCIS yet. But I'm sure that someday it will be my lunchtime series of choice.

I loved that show too, and remember playing "Man From Uncle."

my feminine side

Those shows just didn't do it for me. I preferred Petticoat Junction and That Girl. I guess that is why I became a field biologist instead of a CIA burnt guy.
