Kicking Ass

Hushed Calls To 911?

In a  New York Times article about the Omaha mall shooting it  says:

""All I could think was where is he, what if he comes through that door, what if he comes through right now,” recalled Kevin Kleine, 29, a shopper who hid in a storage room with her 4-year-old daughter, Emily, and four women she had never met, including an expectant mother."

"The group pushed every table, rack and garbage can they could find against the door and huddled behind clothes, making hushed calls to 911, to their husbands and to their parents." (emphasis mine)

It's a good thing that none of the people who called 9-1-1 had a new Verizon phone with the 9-1-1 alarm.
Making a Face

Play Memory

G and I went to to the movies a couple of days ago. While I was watching the preview for Sweeney Todd, I suddenly realized that I had seen the play when it was on Broadway. I can't remember actually seeing it, or who I went with, I just know that I went.

I hate forgetting stuff like that. It's really unfair. I want to remember the show.

Well at least I know I went. Maybe seeing the movie will shake out some memories of the play and the evening that I went to see it.
