If you pass the screening process, you may join InfraGard the FBI's newest weapon against...uh...against...ummm...oh yeah, against things They don't like. Just fill out the form and you can be come a member. Once you are a member, you can provide the FBI with reports about your neighbors, your employers and yes, even your family. The following information is from InfraGard's website.



InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members. At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. InfraGard Chapters are geographically linked with FBI Field Office territories.

UNDERSTAND...

InfraGard is an organization dedicated to the protection of the United States and the American people. In order to maintain a level of trust within the membership, all applicants undergo a background check performed by the FBI (for this reason InfraGard membership is currently limited to United States citizens). Applications are then screened according to a defined criteria and then passed to the local chapter for final acceptance (individual chapters may have more strict criteria).

Along with your InfraGard membership comes great responsibility. We value active members who are willing to devote their time, effort and talent to help build this organization and achieve our goals of protecting the American people. You will be a representative of the nation's largest volunteer organization dedicated to critical infrastructure protection.

Code of Ethics

As an InfraGard member it is my responsibility to:
•Promote the protection and advancement of the critical infrastructure of the United States of America.
•Cooperate with others in the interchange of knowledge and ideas for mutual protection.
•Support the education of members and the general public in a diligent, loyal, honest manner, and not knowingly be a part of any illegal or improper activities.
•Serve in the interests of InfraGard and the general public in a diligent, loyal, and honest manner, and will not knowingly be a party to any illegal or improper activities.
•Maintain confidentiality, and prevent the use for competitive advantage at the expense of other members, of information obtained in the course of my involvement with InfraGard, which includes but is not limited to:
       Information concerning the business of a fellow member or company.
       Information identified as proprietary, confidential or sensitive.
•Abide by the National and Local Chapter InfraGard Bylaws.
•Protect and respect the privacy rights, civil rights, and physical and intellectual property rights of others.
