Merry Christmas!

I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas

I'm better today. The headache meds made me sleepy, so I drowsed and slept most of yesterday. I do have a mid-grade external infection in my left ear. I thought I had gotten rid of it, but it came back. Hopefully I can wipe it out this time. If not, I'll go to the doctor and get some prescription antibiotic ear-drops.

It was beautifully foggy this morning. Not enough to make driving hard, but enough to enhance the beauty of everyone's Christmas lights.

The weather-fear-mongers are predicting up to 12 inches of snow tomorrow for NYC and Connecticut. I hope it doesn't all melt before we get there. Sledding! Sledding! Sledding!

There's that amazing moment when you are finally on the plane. Responsibilities don't matter because there's nothing you can do. There are no stores, no phones and no Internet. It's oddly primitive for such a modern setting. There's just you with your books and your games and maybe a movie or TV show. For a moment, you don't "have to be" doing anything. You can just sit back looking down on the clouds as you zoom along at hundreds of miles an hour feeling like a goddess riding a silver chariot across the heavens.

That's the moment I'm looking forward to.
