Every morning for the past three days, I've woken up with a small headache. Per doctor's orders, I've taken headache meds and the pain has gone away.

Well this morning I woke up with a big headache. I took my meds, but it didn't go away. I was sick enough not to want coffee, so I went back to bed with a hot pack. I woke up a few hours later. My headache was much worse and I still didn't want coffee. I took a nasal Imitrex, reheated the hotpack and went back to bed. I woke up a few hors after that, still feeling awful. By then I could feel the lack of coffee, and I was wondering if it was contributing to my headache. So I visualized myself going to a nearby cafe, Kneaded Pleasures, where they make great expresso and sell good ice cream that they will happily add to the expresso. I finally dragged myself up, took another round of meds and hustled G off to the cafe. When we got there, G gave me a wonderful back rub while I waited for my drink. When my coffee and ice cream came it tasted amazingly wonderful. And, about a half an hour later, I was fine.

Let's hear it for headache meds, expresso and ice cream!

I always turn to caffeine for my headaches, but I'm super sensitive to medications and caffeine and for the most part stay away from both so it doesn't take much to relieve my headaches.

I've been suffering from headaches this last week, too; I think it's the weather changes. Hopefully, yours will go away like mine will when the weather evens out.
