All of us grown-ups all agreed that the play was quite entertaining and that Paula was amazing as the evil step mother. G, on the other hand, thought they talked way too much. This was his first taste of grown-up theater, and I think he was hoping for special effects such as the human torch, or a tank-like Batmobile. He did however enjoy figuring out who-done-it with me, and was proud as could be that we figured it out correctly.
Before the play, we all had dinner at Hoover's Cooking on Manor Road, just up the street from the Vortex. We all agreed that the food was excellent. Although it's basically a restaurant for carnivores, in addition to the usual two and three vegetable plate, they had pasta with a choice of two vegetarian sauces on the blackboard, marinara and alfredo. I went with the alfredo and it was delicious.
This was an amazing Moco event. Moco's came from as far away as Buda and Dripping Springs to attend. We had a blast. Here are the pictures:
